Do I need a car when I stay at Montana Treehouse Retreat?
We do recommend that our guests have a car during their stay at the treehouses so you can independently explore all that our local area has to offer. During snow season (typically December - March 1st) we recommend a 4WD or AWD.
Do you keep the property plowed and accessible during winter?
Yes. The hosts, Darin and Kati live at the main house on the property on a separate road. We keep the road back to the treehouses plowed and easily accessible during winter months.
How close is Montana Treehouse Retreat to Glacier National Park?
The Montana Treehouse Retreat is 22 miles from the West Glacier entrance at Glacier National Park. You can get to the West Entrance of Glacier within 30 minutes from the treehouse as your headquarters.

What animals live on the property?
Whitefish Mountain Resort is just a 15 minute drive! Blacktail Ski Resort in Lakeside is a do-able day trip (1 hour).
We have seen bear, deer, foxes, bald eagles, a variety of birds, wild turkeys and more from the treehouses. We provide bear spray to our guests to use while they explore the local area and parks during bear season.
