Montana Treehouse Songwriting Retreat Client Reviews
From start to finish, this has been one of the best experiences I've ever had.
Montana is such an incredible place. I'm not articulate enough to detail its beauty and scale with words, but I hold the memories with a great fondness.
Getting the chance to spend quality time being creative in a place like this, with some beautiful people... has been a very special thing.
Thank you, Kati O’Toole, so much for looking after us. You're absolutely one in a million and feel very grateful I've met you and for the friendship we've gained. I'm looking forward to what it brings. It was a great trip full of creativity, laughter, and adventure.

April ‘26 Songwriters Retreat
The Montana Treehouse Songwriting Retreat with Kati O’Toole was the musical and spiritual trip of a lifetime. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a sanctuary—one designed not just for comfort, but for creativity, reflection, and renewal.
The treehouse accommodations were absolutely fantastic. Waking up among the trees, surrounded by Montana’s stillness and fresh mountain air, created the perfect space to write, think, and simply be.
Kati is an exceptional host, mentor, and artist. She brings a rare depth of authenticity, encouragement, and insight that allows you to open up creatively in ways you didn’t expect. There’s a genuine sense that she cares about both the music and the person behind it, which makes the experience deeply meaningful.
The location couldn’t be more perfect—set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Glacier National Park, with Whitefish and Kalispell nearby, and the quiet beauty of Polebridge just a drive away. Every direction you look feels like inspiration waiting to be turned into song.
This retreat goes far beyond songwriting. It reconnects you with your voice, your purpose, and the reasons you create in the first place. I left with not only stronger songs, but a renewed sense of clarity and spirit. It’s an experience I will carry with me for a lifetime—and one I cannot recommend highly enough.

April ‘26 Songwriters Retreat
Meet your host, Kati O’Toole.
Aside from being the co-owner/dreamer/founder of The Montana Treehouse Retreat, I am a musician, producer and singer-songwriter. I have spent the past 25 years of my life dedicated to learning everything I can about the music industry. It has been my honor to merge both worlds as a treehouse entrepeneur and producer/songwriter and performer with the musician retreats at Montana Treehouse Retreat.
I studied Music Production and Engineering at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating Berklee 2005, I moved to Los Angeles and worked at the famed Village Recording Studios in Santa Monica where greats such as John Mayor, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones and so many more have tracked their records.
I went on to become the Head of Production at one of the first online recording studios of it’s time- StudioPros. At StudioPros I helped build the business from the ground up for 14 years, managed a team of over 60 session musicians from around the world and produced everything from pop, country, adult contemporary rock, metal, world, you name it. I gained a vast array of knowledge of different styles, genres, production and expanding my songwriting skills of what works and what doesn’t to make a memorable song.
I have had experience releasing my own records independently, touring nationally, performing on stages from BIG to SMALL as well as experience in the music production field. I am currently a member of the band Tin Finley where I play guitar, piano and sing and we recently had the pleasure of opening for Lord Huron on his national tour at The KettleHouse Amphitheater.
I can’t wait to meet you in person to see what you’ve been working on and how we can further your music goals as well as show you this treehouse utopia we have built here in Montana!
